When someone buys a gift from your JoyRibbons registry, you have full control over what happens next. You can receive the exact item purchased — or take the cash equivalent instead. It's your gift. Your choice.
If you want the actual item that was purchased for you, we'll arrange delivery directly to your address. Simple. Nothing is deducted — what was paid for is what you get.
Prefer flexibility? You can convert any gift into its cash equivalent and withdraw it directly — and this is also where direct cash gifts from guests land. We charge a 10% conversion fee on all cash withdrawals, whether the cash started as a direct gift or as an item you converted — this covers the cost of liquidating gifts and processing your withdrawal.

Yes. You can choose on a per-gift basis. Each gift can independently be taken as a physical item or converted to cash.
You can trigger a withdrawal at any time from the Withdraw section of your Overview. We recommend waiting until your wedding date has passed and your registry period has closed for a cleaner payout, but this is entirely your choice.
Withdrawal requests are processed within 3–5 business days. You'll receive an email confirmation once your payout is on its way.
Yes. The 10% fee applies to all cash you withdraw, regardless of whether it started as a direct cash gift from a guest or as a physical item you chose to convert. Only physical items delivered to you are completely free of any fee — any money that leaves the platform as cash to your bank account has the 10% fee applied.
The 10% fee covers the costs of liquidating the physical product and processing your bank transfer. When you receive the actual item, no such costs are involved — so there's no fee.

Yes, as long as the physical gift has not yet been dispatched for delivery. Once an item is in transit, it cannot be converted to cash. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.
