Reviews

The palace is a nice compound house, consisting of other individual buildings joined at the hip by a low wall. Has a stately hall for receiving visitors and Sub Chiefs. Large park within the grounds for hosting events and festivals. Traditional setting with mud hut inspired houses. Military presence…

Visited the Palace and met the Overload of Dagbon whilst on a 3-day trip to the North

The palace was lively as the Overlord sat in state to receive his guests. The Overlord was gorgeous and magnificent in his traditional robe. The event was so traditional and colourful.

The heartbeat of the Dagbon Kingdom. This is where the Yaa Naa resides and rule the kingdom from.

The seat of the Dagbon Kingdom. A visit to Yendi without saying hello to the overlord? Not good. I was there to pay homage to King of Peace, Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II. May God bless the peace He has given the kingdom. I was privileged to be there.
