I went there last year. I expected such a place to be in a very good condition but unfortunately it looked abandoned. I hope the Ministry of Tourism and Ghana Tourism Authority take steps to restore it.
This is a monument indicating the center of Ghana, which is located in Kintampo, Bono East Region. But it's left to deteriorate without maintenance and really not much going on there as a tourist attraction site.
It felt good to visit however, the place looked untidy with no tour guide.
It's a fantastic place to be. It gives you some natural ambience of really being at the center of Ghana as if you could just pull up those cardinals together and later unfold it. However, there's no written text to guide tourist, no tourist guard, and no major sign post at the place to show visitors…
